From Abdul*, serving Afghan refugees

During a recent visit to our partner’s office and training center at a refugee camp, we were heartened to witness the incredible progress of our trauma healing classes. As of now, there are 8 dedicated groups for leaders and 12 receiving groups comprising women, men, and children, totaling 145 individuals who are actively participating in our trauma healing classes.

These classes are conducted six days a week and encompass a variety of activities, including basic skills training and music programs, all aimed at facilitating the healing process.

Opening Her Home

As conditions in Afghanistan continue to deteriorate, more refugees are arriving every day. The demand for our trauma healing program has surged. Our current facilities are unable to accommodate all the requests we have received. In the face of this challenge, we have been blessed to witness the extraordinary dedication of one Afghan believer, Zarka*.

Zarka, a trained instructor, has opened her own home to accommodate an additional 45 women, hosting healing sessions twice a week. Her selflessness and commitment to healing are truly inspiring.

In response to the urgent needs arising from the recent arrival of approximately 1000 more individuals who have fled the Taliban, we are profoundly grateful that our efforts, in collaboration with our trained believers, have enabled us to extend healing support to the broken and lost Afghan refugees here.

Through the grace of God and the skills imparted to our believers, we are now able to reach out to an even larger number of those in need.
