The Zúme Project is well underway and we are seeing and hearing about the greatness of God at the forefront of it all! We are approximately eight weeks in and have over 300 groups.
Here are a few testimonies we have received along the way:
“It’s like words coming out of me from somewhere else when I am writing my S.O.A.P.S.,” Violet shared from the backseat of my car. Seasoned believers are constantly astounded by the insights Violet gleaned from her Bible reading; especially since she came to faith only one month ago.
What is S.O.A.P.S?
S.O.A.P.S. is a tool which helps believers interact more deeply with God’s Word.
Each person is to read about four chapters a day from the Bible, enough to read the complete Bible in one year.
- They choose one or two Scriptures from that day’s reading that speaks to them in a meaningful way. They write the passage in their journal.
- Then they write an Observation they glean from that passage.
- From that observation, they write how they will Apply it to their own life.
- Then they write out a Prayer to God asking Him to help them apply the passage to their lives.
- Finally, they write down who they plan to Share it with.
What’s the Result?
By doing this, everyone gets to learn from the Holy Spirit directly speaking to them through the Word, apply it, and then share what they learn.
Not only does it help them in discerning the voice of the Holy Spirit, it also renews their minds and brings spiritual growth.
