From a Team Expansion worker:
For the last couple of years we have been exploring partnerships to support the global church, as more and more countries get involved with sending out missionaries.
For example, for some time now our team in Venezuela has done this well, and we’ve also been having conversations with people from other nations.
Training in Brazil
Team Expansion has a Brazilian missionary who served in West Africa, but is
now back in Brazil. He invited our team to come lead a training on disciple-making movements for several groups in his area.
Thankfully, two of our US staff were able to attend and teach around 180 participants.
The students immediately saw fruit as they went through the training.
After the session on prayer walking, the went out and prayer walked. After the training on evangelism, they went out and shared their faith with people.
Fifty different people began their discipleship journey with Christ as the participants were practicing their training out on the streets!
Future in Brazil
Several key church leaders experienced the training and said that it was exactly
what the church in Brazil needs.
They embraced the training so strongly that they have invited our group to return next spring to teach an additional 130 leaders.
Praise God for how responsive the church is in Brazil, and join us in praying for them as they seek to take the Gospel throughout their country and into other lands that are difficult for North Americans to travel into.
