Team Expansion General Request
Around 300,000 Muslims live in the Detroit area. Muslims make up less than 2% of the population of the United States but more than 40% of two cities in the Metro Detroit region, Hamtramck and Dearborn. Lord, may it always be the ambition of Christians to preach the Gospel in the places where Christ is largely unknown (Romans 15:20).

Pray for the Kasseng (1,200 people) and for the Kate, (800), both groups are followers of ethnic religions. Ask God to make His Name known among these people.
Gospel Breakthrough: Punjabi Sikhs in India
Lord Jesus, please make yourself known to the Punjabi Sikhs in an intentional way. Send workers both foreign and local to engage these people with Your Gospel. We pray for a pouring out of your Spirit so that the old and the young may dream dreams of you and see signs and wonders confirming the message they receive.

Please lift up Rachel Beckmann, Financial Associate at International Services, as she attempts to transition donors to Aplos for online giving. This requires patience as she waits for donors to reply to her messages. Praise God for bringing Rachel to work with Team Expansion for such a time as this!
August 10
Team Expansion General Request
A team in Michigan works with Muslims. They are taking more of a holistic approach to ministry. They help local Arabs learn English, job skills, help them with projects such as community gardens. They use these activities to build trust and relationships in order to share the Gospel and start groups that will start groups. Pray for the team in learning Yemeni Arabic. Ask God to start a movement of disciples that make disciples of all nations.

Pray for the Katong, 1000 followers of Buddhism and for the Khmer, 5800 Buddhists. Ask God to show those following Buddha that the true path to contentment is found only in Jesus.
Gospel Breakthrough: Punjabi Sikhs in India
God, we pray that Punjabi Sikhs in India would decide that following Jesus is worth the cost and that they would fix their eyes on Him who endured the cross. We pray for endurance to persevere through trials and boldness to share about the One who has overcome the world and enables them to overcome as well.

Join A and J in praying for a friend, J M, who is teaching ESL in Southeast Asia. Pray for funds and for good health for her as she had to have 2 heart stints put in and is stuck in the hospital in Bangkok until she can pay the bill. Pray for A and J as they lead a Sunday school class, The Bible in Simple English, for foreign students in Missouri. Four Kenyans recently joined and have expressed a desire to start the Kenyan Christian Fellowship to reach out to the 50 or so Kenyans who live around Joplin.
August 11

Franklinton, OH is home to Team Expansion workers serving people of the inner city. Pray with the team to have eyes to see where God is working in their neighborhood. Pray down barriers to the Gospel like addiction, anger, and violence.

Pray for the Khua, (4100 people) and for the Khuen (12,500 people). Both groups are followers of ethnic religions. Ask the Holy Spirit to mobilize and equip believers in this region of Laos to make disciples and plant churches among the unreached.

Give thanks for Team Expansion workers serving in Franklinton, within the inner city. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s leading in workers’ conversations with people and boldness to share the Gospel.

Praise God for healing a middle school aged boy and the barriers being broken down to share the Gospel with his teacher and class. Pray that children would hear the message and believe and accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord of their lives.

Join AB in praying for families of believers in Eastern Europe to come to Jesus. Pray for the believers who have been through DMM training to put what they have learned into practice. Please pray for new workers who are joining coworkers in Eastern Europe. Pray for continued progress on translation projects and for her friend Nizama and her family to come to faith.
August 13
Team Expansion General Request
Team Expansion is offering Jonathan Training at Emerald Hills this week (Aug 13-17) for the purpose of teaching people disciple making movement principles. Praise God that the implementation of this training has proven to expand His Kingdom in nations and ethnic groups overseas. Ask God to inspire U.S. Christians to embrace this training and become disciples who make disciples who make more disciples.

Pray for the Kuan, 3900 followers of ethnic religions and for the Laoseng, 10,500 followers of ethnic religions. Ask God to cause those who do not know Him to be dissatisfied with their false gods and ancestor worship and hunger for Him.
Gospel Breakthrough: Ancona, Italy
Jesus never came to “found an institution” but to start a revolution – a revolution where He wrested control of all humans away from Satan, and now calls all to repent, to denounce allegiance to sin and Satan, and be forgiving in His Name. LORD, may all Christian workers join that revolution.

Join Scott and Brittany (International Services) Berry in praising God for his care for them in a recent transition during which time they found out they were expecting a baby. Thank God that Brittany now has the medical care she needs and that their baby girl is on track for a healthy delivery this fall. Ask God to continue to provide all that is needed for Scott and Brittany.

Praise God for opportunities to train local believers in disciple making movement principles. Pray that DMM would grow exponentially in the U.S. even as it has outside the country. Ask God to inspire 24 DMMs by end of 2018

Pray for the Lawi, 850 followers of ethnic religions. Pray for the Maleng, 1000 people adhering to ethnic religions. Ask God to open doors so that these people might hear the Gospel.

Pray for the minorities so that they may find believers able to minister to them and share Christ in a compelling way.
