Do you want to help mobilize Californians to engage in the Great Commission? We’re looking for a relational, mission-minded person to help expand Team Expansion’s reach across the West Coast. As an extension of the International Services Mobilization Team, the California Regional Mobilizer will focus on building and strengthening connections with churches, universities, and other like-minded organizations—especially in the L.A. and San Diego areas.
This position can be either full-time or part-time, and the mobilizer is expected to maintain a high level of communication with our home office in Louisville, KY.
Job Responsibilities
- Strengthen existing relationships with a network of schools and churches in the L.A./San Diego area
- Regularly be present on local campuses to represent Team Expansion
- Seek out new opportunities to raise awareness of Team Expansion in the region
- Mobilize and coach potential workers toward internships, apprenticeships, and long-term service
- Speak and train others in Disciple-Making Movement (DMM) practices
- Participate in monthly LIFT calls with the Mobilization Director
- Engage in Mobilization team-building activities when possible
- Attend ICOM annually (International Conference on Missions)
- Attend our Connect Gathering at least once every three years
Job Qualifications
- Some overseas mission experience (short-term or long-term) preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently for recruiting trips
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (in person and electronically)
- Self-motivated, organized, and energized by new relationships
- Passion for missions and DMM principles
- Completion of required training (see below)
Training Requirements (Pre-Field)
- Launch & Link (Team Expansion’s onboarding training)
- A Worldview and Mission course (e.g., Perspectives, Kairos, or equivalent)
- Additional training as advised, especially for those less familiar with DMM
