From the Buktas, serving in Ecuador

The Peace Treaty (also known as “It’s All About Relationship“) is one of the tools we use to evangelize. It is very effective in sharing the Gospel. We have trained several people in our church to use the Peace Treaty. We would like to share with you stories of people who have given their lives to Christ.

Meet Fernando

We met Fernando through his mother, Angelita, who is a member of our church. Angelita and others have been praying for Fernando for a very long time.

A Reluctant Participant

Fernando wants to be an ambassador for Christ; for his family, neighbors and people around him.

Fernando wants to be an ambassador for Christ; for his family, neighbors and people around him.

At first he didn’t want to talk to us or have anything to do with us, but as persistent as we are, we kept visiting him until he agreed to do the Peace Treaty.

He had a lot of questions about God.

On the 4th lesson, he made the decision to be baptized.

A Present Father

Fernando shared with us about his life before Christ and how much it has changed. He had left his two sons (who are now in their teens) to be raised by his mom, but he is now taking more responsibility in being a part of raising them.

Now he is in our couples group, men’s group and is being trained to someday preach. He also is part of the team that does the offering and communion during Sunday services.

He wants to be an ambassador for Christ: for his family, neighbors and people around him.
