The Christmas season presents a unique opportunity to tell the story of Jesus, beginning with his birth in humble circumstances. Workers can then share their belief about why Jesus came into the world. Whether as part of English classes they are teaching, English clubs they are hosting, or just parties they are throwing for their neighbors and friends, Team Expansion workers are prayerfully sharing the Gospel as they share the food, fun, and family traditions of Christmas. Pray for many open ears and understanding hearts to listen and respond to the message of Jesus.

“Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.” (Psalm 51:6) There are a few words in this verse that would speak to the hearts of the Druze people: truth, wisdom, and secret heart. The Druze people prize wisdom, but the wisdom they esteem is a false wisdom. The Druze faith is very secretive – their Book of Wisdom is only available to the “most religious” among them, so the thought of a “secret heart” would be of interest to the faithful Druze person. From a Biblical perspective, true wisdom comes from God only. Pray that the Druze in the Golan will delight in Truth in their inmost being. Pray they would invite God Himself to teach them wisdom straight into their hearts.

Mien churches in Laos are beginning to grow as the kingdom of God expands throughout the Mien of the world. Pray that a strong desire for money would not cloud any church leader’s vision in a way that would block the view of the cross and the multitudes in need of redemption.
