Unreached People In East Africa
Although Kenya is a Christian majority country (80% Christian and 50% Evangelical Christian), there are still 10 Unreached People Groups living there, including 2.5 million Somalis. Team Expansion is working through national missionaries, including two who are Somali, to make disciples and plant churches among the Somali people there. We plan to mobilize African Christians to take the Gospel to unreached people throughout the Horn of Africa.
We have a team in Nairobi where more than 100,000 Somalis live, and in the Northeast region where nearly 2 million Somalis live. The total cost of this project is now $3500 per month, and we are seeking to add new teams as funding allows.
