The Wodaabe people believe in a variety of spirits and gods/ They frequently participate in sacrifices and incantations to gain the protection and favor of these spiritual beings. One spirit called “Jamdi” is a spirit that protects the body against all forms of metal. Wodaabe believe that if they are protected by Jamdi, their flesh cannot be cut by a knife or penetrated by a bullet.

Almighty God, we pray that the Wodaabe people would no longer seek protection from evil spirits and false gods. We pray that they would pursue Jesus Christ and abandon the generational sins and traditions of their past.

FINALLY, K* (Italy) and M* have started doing weekly laps together where they talk about Jesus! PRAY for God to boldly touch M*’s heart and for him to make steps towards Jesus. PRAY for their M’s marriage to be healed by the power of Jesus and for God to be at the center.
Praise- L, K and R’s* son, challenged his friends’ mom to only pray and follow Jesus, for K* walking laps with Maurizio and how God is working in him, for our old neighbor who is talking about wanting to get baptized, for the new people K and R* have met and the joy of being blessed with visitors! …PRAISE Jesus!

Lord of the Harvest, flood the field of animism with Your Spirit to open the way for Your servants to share Truth which can set free the Wodaabe people and other peoples like them from generational sins and dark traditions.
