Team Expansion is partnering with a Bible translation team who is creating Bible stories and translating Scriptures into the Ibwe language. The Bible translation team has asked us to come alongside them to bring in near-neighbor believers, train them to make disciples among the Ibwe, then coach them to multiply disciples and simple churches. Implementing the fruitful practices of disciple making, these workers will engage the Ibwe with the Word of God in their own language. Father, thank You for this partnership and collaboration. We pray that many Ibwe will choose to become disciples of Jesus and teach others to make more disciples. We pray that simple churches will form and multiply among the Ibwe so that all may have the opportunity to know You, Jesus.

- The young adults asked to take August off from BIble study since they would be leaving for vacation at various times and most of the English conversation students stopped coming in August; however, Cinzia continued reading the Bible in English with Heather Gentile (Italy), though with less frequency. Pray for Cinzia to continue to read the Word!
- Romina, (the gypsy believer who used to come regularly during the winter) after a very long absence, came two more times to let Andrea and Heather know how she is doing, to ask for some food and other necessities, and to read the Bible with them.
- For quite some time, Heather’s parents (Roy and Melody Johnsen) have been needing some help from the family due to their health. For this reason, at the beginning of this year, they decided to move back to New Jersey, to be closer to their oldest daughter and son-in-law. Since then, things have progressed, and recently opportunities have come very quickly that led them to put on the market their current house, buy a new one in New Jersey, and move at the end of August. Heather recently returned to Italy after helping them move.
- During all of this, the family is also going through some grief due to the passing of one of Melody’s sisters. Andrea had the blessing of meeting her when Heather and Andrea started dating while in college and have seen her a few times throughout the years. Andrea has known her to be a kind and happy spirit, always trusting the Lord in everything. She will be dearly missed by everyone in the family.
- Please pray for all the Gentile family during these significant changes and important decisions, especially in this time of grief for the larger family.
Pray for More Workers
Lord of the Harvest, thank You for partnerships in translation and disciple making to reach the Ibwe. We pray Ibwe disciples will go forth and share Your story with others.
