Ten Days of Prayer for Ten Countries: Indonesia Prayer Fuel

The world’s largest island nation, stretching across 17,508 islands from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific. Containing more than 130 volcanoes and sitting on the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” earthquakes and tsunamis contribute to the list of natural calamities. Their diversity spans over three hundred ethnic groups, seven hundred languages, and countless cultural traditions, making it one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse countries. “Unity in Diversity” reflects Indonesia’s effort to unify their diverse populations.

Father, we ask You for more workers to engage the 233 UPGs in Indonesia. We ask You to demolish strongholds of Islam and other false religions. We pray for remote island communities scattered across thousands of islands with limited transportation and communication to have access to the Gospel. We pray for safe passage and effectiveness of Gospel workers in reaching isolated populations. We ask You to overcome language and cultural barriers. We ask You for easy access to Bibles, audio recordings and other resources translated into hundreds of local languages and dialects spoken throughout the archipelago. Father, we pray for believers facing increasing pressure and family/community ostracism. Father, give them courage and boldness to stand firm in their faith while showing love and respect to neighbors.

Lord of the Harvest, we ask You for compassionate workers equipped and positioned to address urban challenges and social needs. We pray for creativity in reaching university students, to share the Gospel person-to-person and through media efforts.
