Team Expansion General Prayer Request for April 25, 2018
“He told them still another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.’” Matthew 13:33. Lord we pray that Your Kingdom on earth in Spain grows like the yeast.
Pray for the 30 Cities Initiative
Most people in Paris France give little thought to whether God exists, and it does not seem to matter in their daily lives. Pray for workers to take the message of Jesus to the people of Paris. Pray for believers in Paris to share the Gospel and live it out daily. Praise God for the Zume translation and may it be a tool for igniting disciple-making and church planting movements throughout the city.
Pray for Gospel Breakthrough: The Druze of Golan Heights
So much of the Druze thinking and culture has been shaped by Islam. Let’s pray together today that God’s redemption in Jesus would not be seen to eliminate Druze identity but to renew and restore it in the creative beauty that the Lord always intended.
Pray for Team Expansion Worker: Paula Hoogland
Ask God to raise up the support needed for Paula Hoogland to continue serving as a mentor to Quest apprentices.
Pray for the Unreached People of the Day
Jama Mapun, Bajau Kagayan in Philippines
The Bajau Kagayan are seafaring people (known as “Sea Gypsies”) and fish in the Sulu Sea by the Philippines and Sulawesi, Indonesia. They are non-aggressive people who usually retreat from trouble. They live on their boats or on the coast in houses that are built over the sea on stilts. Their livelihood comes from the sea through fishing. The Bajau Kagayan are Sunni Muslims. Ministry Obstacles: Establishing trust with the Muslim Bajau Kagayan people may be difficult. Outreach Ideas: Christians can carry the good news of Jesus to the Bajau Kagayan by telling them stories from Scripture, and by using Gospel films and recordings. Pray for the followers of Christ: Pray for the few followers of Jesus among the “Sea Gypsy” people of the Philippines, that good teachers will be sent to help them grow. Praythey will be firmly established on the truths of Scripture, and will be zealous to study and learn, and be faithful disciples of Christ. Pray for the entire people group: Pray the Bajau Kagayan people will be able to provide adequately for their families, and be kept safe as they fish for their livelihood. Scripture Focus: “Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; and let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord reigns.'” 1 Chronicles 16:31 |
