From a Team Expansion worker in Venezuela:
Manuel’s life was transformed by Christ, and he began praying for and inviting his lifelong friend Eduardo to church. They had once shared a life marked by alcohol and poor decisions. Now Manuel wanted his friend to experience the same hope he had found in Jesus.
As Eduardo began attending church, I invited him to study the Bible with Manuel and me. We studied Scripture together, working through his questions and discovering the grace and new life Jesus offers.
Manuel and I baptized Eduardo together. It was a special moment to see Manuel help baptize the friend he had faithfully prayed for. Now, Manuel continues discipling Eduardo.
This is a beautiful picture of discipleship: someone whose life had been changed by Jesus helping another person begin that same journey. Please pray for Eduardo to grow in his faith and for Manuel as he helps his friend follow Christ.
