Pray for peace and prosperity in troubled and impoverished lands, that people can live peacefully, without fear of gangs taking their daughters into prostitution or their sons into forced criminal activity. Pray that Christians will act appropriately in such circumstances in offering strategic options or exerting influence for justice and reform.
Pray for Mr. A, a follower of Christ since November 2018. He was “officially” arrested for illegally cutting wood in a restricted forest near his village, even though the rest of the village was also cutting wood there, including the village headman. In jail, the police have pressured him to recant his faith, slapping and beating him until he has lost hearing in both ears. The authorities have used electricity to shock Mr. A, causing him to lose and regain consciousness. There doesn’t appear to be any way to help him. Pray for our brother A, his faith, and the authorities who are persecuting him. (More on The Final 58)
Pray for bold invitations to read the Bible with neighbors, coworkers, family and friends, and for the Serbs in Bosnia to have a desire to seek God through the Scriptures.
Ask God to restore Jenny Smith (International Services) to full strength and endurance. Thank God with her for financial provision and for some semi-days off work to rest and relax recently.
Pray for the Wunai in China, 12,500 followers of ethnic religions with no access to the Gospel. Pray for harvest workers to take the Life-giving Word of God to the Wunai so that they may call out to Him, “You are my Father, my God, the Rock, my Savior.” (Psalm 89:26) (More on Finishing the Task)
