“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” (Psalm 116:15)
Do you know someone personally that has died for following Jesus? Can you name a missionary friend that has fallen for the sake of the Kingdom? God sees these people as dear and precious. Team Expansion workers serving in “Zephyr” recently sent out a prayer request involving one of these saints. Pray for Jeff Woodke, an American missionary who was kidnapped in Niger two years ago. Jeff worked in a remote part of Niger where he disciples and trained new believers to reach their neighbors for Christ. Pray that his work would continue and that many more would come to know Jesus as a result of Jeff’s faithful sacrifice. Ask the Lord to sustain him and protect him wherever he is. Pray that God’s hand of peace and comfort would rest upon Jeff as well as his family and friends who deeply miss him.
Give thanks to God for creative business platforms that nationals are using to make disciples and plant churches among the Final 58 unengaged/unreached people groups in Laos. Ask God’s protection for teams being sent in the name of Jesus and boldness to share the Good News to villages without access to it. (More on The Final 58)
As a result of prosperity among the Druze of the Golan Heights, young people have access to their parents’ wealth and have freedom to enjoy frivolous pursuits with little to no responsibilities. Pray that Golani Druze youth would see the high priority of having Jesus in their life and would wholeheartedly pursue a relationship with Him.
