Probably not. For most fields, only a bachelor’s degree or some suggested biblical coursework might be required, but that does not mean your training is complete.
We want you to thrive on the field, both personally and in ministry. So, we’ve identified some key trainings that we believe will equip you and your family before you go.
Launch
Once you’re through the initial application process, qualified applicants will be invited to Launch, our two-week training and orientation at our beautiful campus outside of Louisville, Ky. During this event, you’ll get a whirlwind training in everything from support raising to security awareness. And budgeting, spiritual disciplines, member care, communications, and a whole lot more.
Kairos
Spend a week exploring God’s heart for the nations and your role in the Great Commission. This training can also be used when you are training disciples on the field to multiply the Gospel around the world.
Jonathan Training
Do you know the strategy behind sparking and sustaining a multiplying church planting movement? You will have a solid and actionable plan by the time you finish this intensive training.
MTI
Your whole family will benefit from participation in this 6-week course on thriving emotionally, relationally, spiritually, and linguistically in your new culture. These practical tools will sustain you over and over as you learn to be obedient to God’s call on your life for cross-cultural ministry.
Other Trainings
On a case by case basis, Team Expansion might require other trainings or education to fully equip you for success in your field. Each recommendation would come as the result of prayer, careful observation, mutual discussion, and informed counsel.
