Do I need to already be employed to do the Immerse Internship?
No! We will work with your skill set to find the right position in the right location.
Do I need to quit my job to do the Immerse Internship?
This depends. Depending on the location you want to serve in, we might need to find you a similar position with a different organization. If your job already works in the context of your calling, you should keep it!
Are there preferred vocations? What if my job isn’t “normal”?
We love odd jobs! Logistically, the mission field is the most strategic area of work in all the world. Spiritually, we don’t want anything stopping you from doing what you love, what you feel called to do/to be, and living on-mission all the while. There are several in-demand vocations that are quick and easy to place (teaching, medical, IT, communications, etc.), but no matter your preference, we’ll work with you to find the perfect fit.
Is there an age requirement? Can I be married? Can I have kids?
18 + is the only requirement. Everything else will be factored into your custom plan.
Can I get college credit?
Most likely, let’s talk about what’s required for your college and we can create a program that will fulfill those needs.
What does the program actually consist of?
Training, coaching, mentorship, hands-on experience, and making a real difference for the Kingdom. The details of this will look different for each person and your unique vocation.
