The brothers and sisters in Rome had heard we were coming, and they came to meet us at the Forum on the Appian Way. Others joined us at The Three Taverns. Acts 28:15
Paul met the disciples from Rome in a market on the “queen of the roads,” the Appian Way. This road still crosses Italy from Rome to the southern city of Brindisi, and still today there are efforts to proclaim the gospel message in the towns and cities along the way. However, evangelical believers make up less than 2% of the entire Italian population. The O’Connors feel called to build community and share the Gospel in this area.
The O’Connors will live and minister near a section of the Appian Way that runs through the cities of the Castelli Romani area. Alongside their teammates, the O’Connors are seeking people open to the Gospel message, who will become disciples of Christ and disciple-makers themselves. Their team hopes and prays to be a catalyst of a Disciple Making Movement that will spread southward on this historic road.
Thank you for partnering with us in this God given endeavor.
