“How can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” Romans 10:14
The need in Japan is great. According to the Joshua Project, Japan is the second largest unreached people group in the world, even though we have the freedom to preach Christ. Japan has a population of 127 million people, but there are still only 0.5% evangelical Christians.
We have spent the last 10 years in Japan serving Christ in a variety of ways. We serve at a local Japanese Church. We support communities by teaching parenting classes to mothers and children. We have done campus outreach through partnering with a Christian cafe. Now we have an amazing opportunity to influence Japan with the gospel through Christian education.
We are working with a missions school in Okinawa, Japan. A school of 420 student, which is made up of 80% non-Christians. Working at Okinawa Christian School International gives us the unique opportunity to minister to children and their families day in and day out. Andy serves as the chaplain and counselor of the school, where he gets to teach the Bible to over 250 students on a weekly basis. Megan serves as the Elementary Principal where she gets to lead the school to provide the best Christian education and support the teachers to be the best teachers they can be. It is our desire to see entire families saved and to see students discipled to serve as church leaders.
