From Team Expansion’s VP of Prayer

About a year ago, God impressed on my heart to invite people who would like to fly the banner for prayer for their teams to become a part of a group called Team Prayer Coordinators. I was advised to start slowly, so I did — with one person whom God laid on my heart! She got approval from her team leader husband and, together, we discerned what next steps God might be asking her to take to increase prayer on and for her team.

She and her husband began meeting monthly via Zoom with new team members who were raising support. This allowed the two couples to get to know each other in the deepest of ways — by praying for each other and for efforts to reach the people group to whom God had called them. They then began meeting over Zoom to pray with key supporters. This strengthened the partnership between classes, individuals, and supporters. That was just the beginning!

The second person was recommended by her team leader. She, already having a heart for prayer, was eager to join. She and her husband took a significant step not long afterward to launch a Pray4… website and to strengthen prayer with team members in their city.

The third person was invited after she excitedly called the office from a field far away to tell me about a prayer room experience in her city. That led to a prayer walking experience in the same city, and now to the development of a prayer walking app (in process).

After the fourth person joined, she started meeting regularly for prayer with her team in her new field and online with those left behind when she moved from a previous field. God is still moving!

Today, as two more prayer warriors joined (one an IS worker and another a volunteer) spiritually perfect number of seven was met. But God is not finished yet! We would like to repeat and repeat and repeat that number until every people and every place is prayed for on a regular basis.
