“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)

A few months ago, Jamal from Kenya attended a Disciple Making Movement course at Team Expansion. While they were prayer walking as part of the training, they met a young refugee who had only been in the US for a month. He didn’t speak any English yet, but Jamal happened to speak one of the languages this young man knew. Jamal asked him if he had a moment to talk about God. The young man invited them into the house and invited his sister to come listen too. The refugee told him, “I have never received Christ in my life. I’m a drunk and I do terrible bad things.” Jamal shared with them the Three Circles tool, which teaches about our broken world, God’s purpose, and how Jesus came to restore us to God. The young man admitted he was in the broken world, and he wanted to be restored. Right then, he repented and surrendered to Jesus. The local diaspora team is continuing to walk with this young man in his new faith!

Father, increase the obedience of the young refugee in a way that will multiply – simple and reproducible. Father, pursue the sister so she might become Your disciple and make more disciples in a way that will multiply – simple and reproducible.

Pray for More Workers

Lord of the Harvest, raise up more men like Jamal who can share the Gospel in a way that will multiply – simple and reproducible.

A and J in southeast Asia ask prayer for a MMCC doctor and his wife. The wife was unexpectedly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and they had to rapidly move back to Texas for further evaluation and treatment. They will both be incredibly missed at MMCC.
-Please continue to pray for medical student outreaches. Five students recently decided to follow Christ and are being discipled by Campus Crusade for Christ.
-Please pray for the two local medical students that have been doing their Internal Medicine rotation at MMCC. They have had multiple opportunities to hear the Gospel while learning at the hospital.
-Please pray for ongoing work with the PAVE Project (international research and HPV /cervical cancer prevention) working together with MMCC and various local partners and churches to bring prevention, healing, and hope to women in southeast Asia.
-Praise – MMCC finalized the purchase of the land next door to MMCC! This is vital for plans and expansion after many years of frustration!
