A Training Update from Eric Berry, VP of Strategy and Training
DMM training in Goiania
In early September our training team completed a very effective training in Goiania, a city about 3 hours from Brasilia. This was a great group – 17 pastors were present including the two pastors from the largest churches in the area (running 900 and 1,000 in attendance). We were excited when on the last day the group committed to starting 93 3/3rds groups!
We left straight from Goiania to train leaders in Sao Paulo
We’re praising God for a great second half of the Brazil DMM training that we did in Sao Paolo with 65 participants. Our host was Jeff Fife who will serve as the President of ICOM for 2019. The training went very well and the group committed to start 21 3/3rds groups! It looks like they will easily pass that. In ongoing follow up with Jeff he’s told us that his church alone has started nine 3/3rds groups!
Another testimony was from Pastor Ceneti who has served 5 years as an Associate Bi-vocational pastor. He loved the training. It was marvelous! He told us candidly that this was the first time he had ever went out prayer walking, that is, it’s the first time he’s gone to the street to evangelize. He loved it! Now he has the tools – they’re so simple. He’s a salesman with 256 contacts. He texts them all each morning with something encouraging to follow Christ and grow in faith. He’s engaging 256 people daily! The church’s plan is to convert all their small groups into 3/3rds groups.
