A worker in a sensitive field recently shared the joy of meeting together with local women in sacred community.
I heard them before I reached the door. Worship music in the local dialect, sung by a group of believing women, wafted down the apartment building stairwell, inviting and leading me to the correct door.
The sound was even more beautiful inside as I joined the sacred meeting of these women. They come together monthly to study the Bible. Most believers are young in their faith, many have never read the whole Bible through, and all are eager for the fellowship, support, and safety this group brings.
Though we just began this year, this ladies’ fellowship has been a tremendous blessing. Many of the local believers who join us don’t have a consistent church they attend, and here they feel safe to explore and discuss the Bible, as well as to share their personal struggles in ways they have not experienced before.
The group has largely been led by a couple of the local ladies, and they have decided they would like to start meeting twice a month this summer. Please pray for a dear local sister who will be spearheading this group this summer, as well as the other ladies who are hungry to learn and grow in the Lord together.
