Celebrate God’s work among the Lisu tribe. It has now been 100 years since missionary James O Frazer invented the Lisu script. And by means of the script, the Scriptures were printed both on papers and on hearts. According to OMF International estimates as of 2008, there are now 700,000+ Lisu in Yunnan and 450,000 in Myanmar. Christianity is now gradually becoming the dominant religion among the Lisu people. Pray that Lisu would reach other tribal peoples in Asia with the Word of God.

Pray for the Final 58 of Laos

Pray for the Giay, 7800 followers of ethnic religions and for the Halang Doan, 2300 followers of ethnic religions. Ask God to reveal Himself as the true Father and the only one with the power to help and protect those who worship ancestors and seek their help.

Father, may Your followers in Rome, Italy live lives worthy of passing down, and may they be willing and active in teaching, giving, and showing others Your wonderful ways.

Join K and K in North Africa in praying for the May and June trainings they are planning for others who want to use media to accelerate disciple-making. Pray that God will help previous Lab M2M trainees get their ministries launched. Pray that God will call a teacher to serve with them. Ask God to heal Steve Smith of his cancer. Pray that God continues to sustain their local partner in legal battles connected to her faith.

Pray for the Unreached People of the Day

Rashaida in Sudan The Rashaida are a Bedouin people populating either side of the Red Sea, coming from a major tribe in mainland Arabia about 150 years ago. They are a nomadic people living in tents made of goatskins. They are herdsmen, raising primarily goats and sheep. Since they are largely illiterate, they memorize in great detail the pedigree of their animals, keeping mental records of their herds over seven or eight preceding generations of the flock. Ministry Obstacles: A nomadic lifestyle makes it especially difficult to build relationships with people. Outreach Ideas: The Gospel message needs to come to these illiterate people orally, using stories from Scripture, videos, recordings and similar means. Bridges of friendship need to be built. Pray for the followers of Christ: There may be a few followers of Christ among the Rashaida community. Pray for these people, and for other new believers that will soon develop. Pray they in all things will grow up into him who is the Head, Christ. Pray for the entire people group: Pray the Rashaida families will be able to live peaceful lives. Pray for stability in Sudan. Scripture Focus: “The people who walk in darkness, will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them.” Isaiah 9:2
