We had a problem. A family of new believers from Venezuela who had been discipled by our team there expressed a profound willingness to join our team in Spain. This was exciting, except they lacked the financial support to go.
One evening at a training event, our VP of Outreach pulled me aside and asked me to “watch and pray” with him that something would happen to help this family.
Getting Your Prayers Answered
We Called, God Answered
The very next morning, our website received a very random message from a man in Florida whom we had never met, wanting to know if we happened to know of anyone with a work in Spain.
I returned the call.
To our surprise, he was a Global Outreach guy with a church of 6,000 members. They had prayed for a full year, asking God for help getting started in southern Spain.
Making Disciples Who Make Disciples
Four weeks later, we were there, speaking at his church, sharing workshops about Spain, along with how to make disciples who make disciples (both in Spain and in Florida). God worked in a mighty way.
Worship is Talking to God
Literally just a few weeks after those initial prayers, the Venezuelan couple was hard at work in Spain and the church in Florida was extremely happy to be engaged in ministry there. This project perfectly fulfills their year-long prayer to find a way to make a difference among unreached peoples in southern Spain.
Thank you Lord for being present in our lives and in our work!
