Reading the Word
In my studies with Emre and his brother Hakan, we’ve covered a lot of ground. These two guys are devouring the Word.
They both have had more dreams and God is using those dreams to draw them closer to Himself.

Hakan has read from Genesis to the middle of Leviticus in about three weeks. He started on Matthew last week, and as of yesterday, he is in the middle of John.
They’ve both asked so many questions and remember so many things that Jesus has said and done.
Probably one of the things that amazes me the most is the fact that despite the language and culture barriers, God is still speaking to these two men and all the people they are sharing with.
Sharing the Word
A man came into their store recently and asked Emre for help in trying to get 1,000 Turkish Bibles. Through a series of events, Emre believes that this guy is legit, and that God brought him specifically to Emre for help.
Emre asked me how to buy 1,000 Bibles.
My first response was to tell him to ask God; and if this is indeed a legitimate need, God will provide the means to make it happen.
One of the friends that Emre is sharing with wants to have 250 Bibles to pass out to people he knows. Again, Emre believes that God has tasked him with the duty of figuring out how to help his friend.
Again, we prayed to God asking for His provision to provide the resources and the way to purchase these Bibles.
Believing the Word
I had the privilege of baptizing Emre and Hakan in the pool beside our house. It has been amazing journey up until this point with these guys.
Emre said afterwards that he felt something like a heavy stone being lifted from his back.
Hakan said that he is no longer Alawi (a sect of Islam) but a follower of Jesus.
Names have been changed.
