A local believer in Venezuela has started a new work and several 3-Thirds groups in one of the most dangerous prisons in the country. In this prison, the leading prisoners have knives and machetes (rather than guns, as in other parts of the country), which has reduced the number of homicides inside the prison.

Though usually no one is allowed to visit this prison, God opened the door with the director of the prison. He gave the team access when the church was able to donate some medical equipment and other necessary items they did not have.

According to the penitentiary code in the region, no one is allowed to create churches inside the prison, but the director is allowing the team to use dining rooms near the church.

At 5:00 a.m., one of the pastors enters the prison and has devotions with prisoners, module by module. When he goes, he usually takes a group of five men from the churches. The visit takes a day, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., since each module has 400 people in it. The pastors walk room by room to evangelize each module. So, a large part of the prison is ministered to and then, any of the prisoners are invited for a time of praise and preaching — all with the permission of the director of the prison!

The team has a goal of baptizing almost 200 inmates in one day! Pray for these efforts, logistics, and continued favor with the prison director!
