Valentine’s Day is a day for love, appreciation, grand gestures, and – you guessed it – delicious candy. From chocolates full of all kinds of miracles to bright red suckers in thin plastic wraps, it’s all amazing and totally worth having an unnecessary love holiday.
And who could forget the conversation hearts?
In honor of this holiday, and purely for fun, we’ve imagined what those little candy hearts would mean if they were written for missionaries. So grab a box (or three) of those chalky little delights and enjoy the love!
BE MINE? – My supporter, that is. Because this relationship is special. Why not put it in writing? Check-writing.
LUV U – I think I’m starting to forget how English works.
HUGS – And kisses. That’s how the shopkeeper down the road greets me.
SOUL MATE – Speaking of your soul, can I introduce you to my friend, Jesus?
CALL ME – Or, Skype me. Because these kids miss their grandparents.
LOVE BUG – And malaria. And hepatitis. And dengue fever.
#LOVE – Because, without it, we’re just clanging cymbals.
OOH LA LA – Look, guys! I found peanut butter!
ASK ME – Where does my hope come from?
SHHH – Please stop posting my location on Facebook.
SAY YES – When I ask if you read my newsletter.
KISS – Keep It Simple, Silly. And reproducible.
