There are many reasons why Team Expansion workers (and other missionaries) have gone into full-time cross-cultural ministry. After you reflect on some of our experiences, we’d love to hear what motivates YOU to go!
These are just some of the reasons missionaries decide to go.
- Jesus said to. (Matthew 28:18-19)
- There are so many who have never heard the Gospel.
- I long to see God worshiped in every language.
- How can they believe unless they are told?
- I am willing, and with God’s help, I am able.
- God’s heart is for the whole world.
- Jesus means”good news to the poor, freedom for the prisoners, and sight for the blind.”
- My spouse had a very clear call. Mine came through following in faith.
- There was a burning burden in my heart. To not go would be disobedience.
- This has been my heart since childhood.
- I had a dream where God told me to go.
- When I retired, God wanted to use those years for His purposes.
- I could no longer justify my excuses not to go.
- The burden of those living and dying without hope or grace became too great to bear.
- I once was lost, but now I’m found, was blind but now I see. Don’t others deserve that opportunity, too?
- My kids were watching me. How would I teach them to bravely obey God if I wasn’t willing to show them?
- God invited me to see what He was doing. I accepted.
